PAINT CORRECTION

Remember how good your car looked when you first saw it? The shine and gloss of your paint is one of the most important factors when it comes to it’s overall aesthetics. However, shine means nothing without the depth and clarity that only comes from proper machine polishing performed by an Advanced Paint Correction Specialist.

OVERVIEW

RESTORING THE SHINE ON YOUR CAR

Paint correction is a process of removing scratches and defect through subtraction. We offer two levels of correction, Single-Stage and Multi-Stage. Consider the Single-Stage correction to be a step up from a 3-Step: Compound, Polish & Wax, where paint flaws are addressed. Or Multi-Stage correction significantly improves the finish by removing all of the swirls, and all but the heaviest of scratches and defects.

However, the paint will still be vulnerable to swirling and scratching, so the finish may go away if your washing techniques introduce new scratches and defects. Your paint has a limited thickness and paint correction can only be performed a certain number of times. This is why we evaluate each customers vehicle to determine which level of correction to use. We also highly recommend protecting the finish with one of our Premium Protectant Coatings after defects have been addressed.

MULTI-STAGE PAINT CORRECTION "COLOR SANDING"

When you step up to the realm of multi-stage paint correction, you’re significantly improving the finish by removing all of the swirls, and all but the heaviest of scratches and defects. The photo examples above (before and after images) are of the multi-stage process and as you can see, the transformation is significant. This process starts with a heavy compounding machine polishing stage to remove the defects, and then followed by a secondary polishing stage to refine the finish and increase gloss and clarity. Given the differences in paint types, condition, and size of vehicles, the rate for the Multi-Stage Paint Correction varies, but we will consult with each vehicle owner to provide a more precise pricing structure. The paint type and condition will also dictate the level of correction, but typically this process on most cars will get rid of 80-95% of all defects. And at this level of correction, you’re getting very close to that of a brand new vehicle!
