COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT CERAMIC COATINGS

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO WASH A SAPPHIREV1 COATED SURFACE?

The best way to wash a coated vehicle is to use a pressure washer with Foam cannon and after washing with 2 bucket method you blow dry the vehicle off with electric blower or compressed air.

WHAT HAPPENS TO SAPPIREV1 CERAMIC GLASS COATINGS AFTER 5 YEARS?

A: Under normal circumstances, up to 70% of the SapphireV1 original protection will still be remaining on the paint. The old CS-II protection can be professionally removed and the product reapplied at any time.

CAN I ADD WAX TO OR POLISH MY VEHICLE?

We never recommend trying to wax or polish your own car – you can scratch and damage your paint easily. Trust a professional like Alpha Auto Detailing to enhance your vehicle’s shine.

Liquid polishes and waxes contain solvents that can remove the brighteners and/or drift into the deep layers of the paint. Most waxes and polishes also contain abrasives which can damage SapphireV1 coating. For these reasons, they are not recommended. While paste wax will not harm the finish and temporarily add to the paint’s gloss, it will not offer the paint any additional protection or shine.

WHAT ABOUT SCRATCHES OR MARKS ON MY PAINT?

A: Very fine scratches may be corrected with the use of Sapphire V1 as directed. Heavier scratches may require professional attention. In some cases where the scratch has removed the majority of the paint, it may be required to do some touch up painting to cover it.

WHAT ABOUT AFTER APPLICATION?

We recommend routine maintenance washes by our team to maintain the coating integrity.

WHY CAN’T I APPLY SAPPIREV1 PRODUCTS ON A VEHICLE MYSELF?

The application is a complicated process including a series of steps, chemicals and special equipment that requires training. Also sapphire is a product you cant find anywhere besides Alpha Auto Detailing.
